Redundancy. Scary, right? Well there’s one particular receptionist working at Bolton Risk Consultancy, and he’s scared for a slightly different reason than most; he’s scared a dog will take his job. He’s prepared to show you all just how hard he’s fought for his spot, through a rather passive aggressive PowerPoint presentation. Only, this process can become quite revealing, and perhaps there are some skeletons in his closet - or filing cabinet.
The Probability Of A Dog Becoming A Receptionist is an interactive and immersive one man show, described as feeling like "well-constructed stand-up" while playing with "fascinating themes explored through humour".
This performance is a comedic, fast-paced, multi-media experience exploring replacement, queerness and what it means to have a 'circle'. We can't wait for it to be back at Jimmy's over eight dates in July 2026.
A third floor theatre production.
Written and performed by Billy Currid.
Directed and produced by Ellis Brown and Izzy Watson of third floor theatre.
